Vitamin A is essential to repair and maintenance of skin tissue. Topical Vitamin A could also help reduce the appearance of line and wrinkles. It is also used in treatment of of certain skin problems such as acne and other blemishes.

A lack of vitamin C may cause hangnails, deformed nails, and the tendency to bruise easily. The Vitamin works by reducing skin damage caused by harmful byproduct of smoke pollution, and the sun.

Vitamin K

Vitamin K is most often sufficient supplied in any diet, therefore finding a pill supplement for the vitamin is nearly impossible. Most multi-vitamins or once daily vitamins do not contain Vitamin K.

In topical form, the vitamin works to reduce under eye circles and bruises. In combination with vitamin A, Vitamin K becomes even more effective on treating the dark circles that appear under the eye.

Additional minerals are also beneficial to skin and nails but most information suggests that supplementing minerals is not necessary because we take in enough of them in daily routines.
