Pregnant Women BEWARE of this Drug Used for pain.

The drug pregabalin (Lyrica, Pfizer), commonly used to treat pain, epilepsy, anxiety and other brain health disorders, may be associated with an increased risk for major birth defects (Neurology 2016 May 18.)

The drug pregabalin (Lyrica, Pfizer), commonly used to treat pain, epilepsy, anxiety and other brain health disorders, may be associated with an increased risk for major birth defects (Neurology 2016 May 18.

Pregabalin is approved by the FDA to treat epilepsy, fibromyalgia and neuropathic pain, such as pain from diabetic neuropathy and pain after shingles or spinal cord injury. It is also used off-label for generalized anxiety disorder and other mental health issues.

For the study, information was collected in seven countries from 164 women who took pregabalin during a pregnancy and 656 pregnant women who were not taking any antiseizure drugs. The women or their practitioners were then contacted again after their expected date of delivery.

Pregnancies of the women who took pregabalin during the first trimester of pregnancy were three times more likely to result in major birth defects than those of the women who did not take antiseizure drugs. Seven of the 116 pregnancies in women taking antiseizure drugs (6%) had major birth defects, compared with 12 of 580 pregnancies (92%) in women who did not take the drug. Birth defects due to chromosomal abnormalities were not included in these results.

The major birth defects included heart defects and structural problems with the central nervous system (CNS) or other organs. The women taking pregabalin were six times more likely to have a pregnancy with a major defect in the CNS than the women who were not taking the drug, with four CNS defects out of 125 pregnancies (3.2%) compared with three CNS defects out of 570 pregnancies (0.5%).

“Pregabalin should be prescribed for women of childbearing age only after making sure that the benefits of the drug outweigh the risks and after counseling them about using effective birth control. In cases where women have taken pregabalin during pregnancy, extra fetal monitoring may be warranted,” said study author Ursula Winterfeld, PhD, of the Swiss Teratogen Information Service and Lausanne University Hospital, in Switzerland.

Of the women taking pregabalin, 115 were taking it to treat neuropathic pain; 39 for psychiatric disorders, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and psychosis; five for epilepsy; and one was taking it for restless legs syndrome.

A total of 77% of the women started taking pregabalin before they became pregnant. The women in the study stopped taking the drug at an average of six weeks into their pregnancies. Of the women taking pregabalin, 22 (13%) were also taking another antiseizure drug.

“We can't draw any definitive conclusions from this study, since many of the women were taking other drugs that could have played a role in the birth defects, and because the study was small and the results need to be confirmed with larger studies, but these results do signal that there may be an increased risk for major birth defects after taking pregabalin during the first trimester of pregnancy,” Dr. Winterfeld said.

Trevo Guide:- My personal advice and from experiance is not to take any drug in the first trimester (a period of three months, especially as a division of the duration of pregnancy.) instead get blend fruits and vegetables.

In my next article in www.trevobenefits.com I will be talking about fruits and vegetables that can handle things like pains, fever etc.

Continuation of How to Get a Baby Girl or Boy Naturally and Accurately

There are many people that would like to have a particular gender of a child, Boy or Girl. Some people have only female Children but would like a male child and some people have only male and would like a female child.

It is the sperm and not the egg that carries the genetic material (called chromosomes) that determine the sex of a child.

METHOD 2
Stolkowski Method.

European Physician, Joseph Stolkowski Conducted studies wherein he correlated a mother’s pregnancy diet with the sex of her baby.
His Result: Women who ate foods rich in potassium and sodium (like meat, fish, vegetables, CHOCOLATE, and salt) beginning at least six weeks before attempting conception were far more likely to conceive a BOY.

Also, women who consumed foods high in calcium and magnesium,( such as milk cheese, nuts, beans, and cereals) beginning at least six weeks before attempting conception were far more likely to conceive a GIRL.

He theorized that gender can be influenced by what scientists call “ionic” factors – a type of natural electrical charge emitted by products of the earth including minerals like potassium, sodium, calcium and magnesium. By manipulating her diet with the addition of certain mineral-rich (ion-charged) foods, a woman could alter her ovulation metabolism and thus influence whether her eggs attract the “x” or the “y” sperm.
In the study, 39 out of 47 couples were able to produce a child of the gender they wanted, simply by manipulating their diet.

This method is already being used by a company called- ‘Smart Stork‘ (You can Google it) They have made so much money doing this for people….something you can do by yourself for free.
On their website, they wrote :”Here at Smart Stork, we have been helping couples to conceive their preferred gender babies for over 15 years. Our success rate in gender selection? Is still over 95%!”
You can visit the website to confirm.

METHOD 3
SELNAS method.

Using Dr Stolkowski’s research, European biologist, Patrick Schoun discovered that the membrane surrounding a human egg also emits ions(an atom or molecule with an electric charge) giving off a type of electric “charge” of its own. According to him,its the energy that attracts either an “x” or “y” sperm.
He also found that at certain times in a woman’s monthly cycle, her egg is electrically “charged” to attract either the ”x” or “y” sperm exclusively. He also noted a “neutral” time in the cycle when the electrical charge surrounding an egg is dependant on environmental factors, including diet. So by coordinating your most fertile time(The 6 days before ovulation with the days when your egg is attracted to either the “x” or the “y” sperm, you can plan how to meet your partner to coincide with the conception of either a boy or a girl.

The individual calculations involved in determining the correct time was too complex, so a way to enter all the necessary scientific data about the gender selection into a computer.
Things like: menstrual history, contraception use, and reproductive history along with the preference of either a boy or a girl. The SELNAS method is thus a personalized twelve-month gender selection calendar that indicates the days on which a particular egg would attract either the “x” or “y” sperm for an entire year. SELNAS yielded a success rate of 98.7 percent! The SELNAS natural gender selection technique is available in the United States for less than $400. The company that prepares the calendar(Laboratories Prokiad International) offers a 100% money-back guarantee if you don’t get the gender you desire. (This means they are pretty sure of what they are doing)

But I will make it free here

POLARITY DAYS

The research of French scientists lead by Patrick Schoun was based on previous experiments which proved that sperm with x (girl) or y (boy) chromosomes were drawn by opposite electrical charge.

Schoun discovered that the ovule membrane has an alternating charge which draws or rejects an X (girl) or Y(boy) chromosome carrying sperm. The ovum membrane's alternating polarity is a cycle in the female body  for selecting sperms with different gender determining chromosomes.

This alternation of polarity occurs on a predictable cycle for different mammals. Humans have polarity periods of between 1 to 10 days per month and 60 to 80 days per year for each different polarity totalling 120 to 160 a year for both genders. In the remaining 205 – 245 days polarity is not sufficiently definable. We call them neutral days.

End of session 2 and report
