Children between the ages of 2 and 12 should consume 1⁄4 ounce for every 20 pounds of body weight, not to exceed one ounce per day.

A: No, we use absolutely no animal-derived ingredients in our product. Every ingredient is 100% vegetarian, and a number of these high-quality natural ingredients are even certified organic.

Q: Is Trévo™ sweetened with sugar-saturated additives like other liquid dietary supplements and energy drinks?

A: No. Trévo is naturally sweetened with 100% pure fruit juices together with the herb stevia, so you never have to worry about the unpleasant effects of a high-octane buzz typically associated with refined sugars.

Q: What is the benefit of consuming natural fruit-sourced sugar like that contained in Trévo™ instead of refined sugar?

A: Fruit-derived sugar is known as fructose. Fructose is broken down by the body slowly which allows the body more time to react to the sweetener that has been consumed. This puts less stress on the body – including the pancreas, which is good news for diabetics as they too can have sweet-tasting things without the worry of a sudden sugar spike.

Unlike sucrose (refined sugar), fructose is absorbed in the small intestines rather slowly and does not stimulate insulin secretion. The low amount of insulin required in fructose metabolism, combined with its slower rate of absorption into the blood stream compared with sucrose, makes fructose much less likely to create the immediate fluctuations in blood sugar levels that can set off hypoglycemic (low blood sugar) reactions.

The natural fruit sugar fructose has one of the lowest glycemic indexes of any food – with a rating of only 20, compared to 31 for skim milk, 59 for sucrose (ordinary table sugar), and 98 for an equal weight of mashed potatoes. This means that 1 ounce of fructose raises your blood sugar only about 1/3 as much as an ounce of sucrose, and it releases only about 1/3 as much insulin. In fact, a mashed potato raises your blood sugar almost 5 times higher than a comparable amount of fructose.

The bottom line is that Trévo allows your body to do what it should do normally – what it was created to do – without an unhealthy sugar rush. So you feel better, clearer, and have the energy to keep up with even your most hectic day.

Q: How does Trévo’s™ 3-phase formula work?

A: Here is a brief overview of Trévo’s™ exclusive “Restore, Renew, Revive” 3-phase formula.

1. The first phase is called “Restore.” It’s designed to restore vital energy and mental focus naturally by stimulating your body with a myriad of powerful nutraceuticals including fabulous energy-enhancing superfruits and botanicals such as gotu kola, ashwagandha, borojo, bacopa, schizandra fruit, Korean ginseng, and noni fruit. Q: What will it cost for my family to take Trévo™ every day?

A: A couple can enjoy the benefits of Trévo™ for around the cost of a single cup of Starbucks coffee each day. If just one person went to a local health food store and tried to duplicate the same quality and quantity of nutrients contained in Trévo™, they could easily spend up to $600.00 a month in an attempt to get all the nutrition contained in just one delicious ounce of Trévo™.

Q: How can Trévo™ help conquer my food cravings and provide weight management support?

A: Many of our customers have discovered a vital key to the weight loss puzzle. Managing your weight can be a real struggle because good nutrition is almost impossible to achieve in today’s hectic world of fast food and nutritionally-empty snacks. Yet, without good nutrition, weight loss can be extremely difficult to achieve and maintain. Along with processed foods, eating on the run and being too busy to plan healthful meals, there are other reasons Americans do not seem to eat the right things. Our bodies are screaming for micronutrients, macronutrients, and phytonutrients that are largely absent from our food supply. So we keep on eating and eating in an attempt to give our bodies the nutrients we need but can never seem to get.

That is where the super-nutrition of Trévo™ comes into the picture in a big way. By providing your body with the nutrition that it needs, you will likely find that you feel fuller longer and that those cravings that had previously sabotaged your weight management efforts no longer have a strangle-hold on your life.

Q: What does Trévo’s™ “micronized” formula mean?

A: The process of micronization actually reduces particle size to a few microns in diameter. Because such exceptionally small particles allow enhanced cellular absorption, this process has been successfully utilized by the pharmaceutical industry for years. From a nutritional standpoint, micronization makes Trévo’s™ fabulous nutraceutical ingredients extremely bioavailable so that your body’s systems can put them to immediate use.

Q: What does ORAC stand for and why is it important to my health?

A: ORAC stands for “Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity,” and it is a proven, highly accurate method of measuring the antioxidant capacities of different foods. Antioxidants have a unique ability to fight the harmful free radicals that accumulate in the cells of your body. These free radicals produce harmful oxidation that can damage the membranes of these cells. Daily use of Trévo™, however, provides your body with high levels of antioxidants from multiple sources to inhibit and slow down this damaging process.

This is particularly important since free radicals have been linked to diabetes, heart disease, arthritis and about 60 other diseases. These free radicals are also considered to be a primary cause of premature aging. It is important that you know that Trévo™ does not just guess about the ORAC score of its nutritional powerhouse.

We are a member of the world-renowned Brunswick Laboratory’s Certification program and have Trévo™ routinely tested by the scientists there. So when we say that Trévo’s™ ORAC score is a record-breaking 373,486 per bottle, it is a certified fact. And while most products gain their ORAC score from only one or two main ingredients, or a small handful at best, Trévo™ draws from over 66 different plant sources for its astounding ORAC score.  That means thousands upon thousands of different phytochemical compounds are actively mopping up harmful free radicals with every delicious ounce of Trévo™.

8 Nigerian Foods That Burn Belly Fat

Belly Fat clinically known as central obesity or Abdominal obesity,  is the accumulation of abdominal fat resulting in an increase in waist size. It has been proven that there is a strong correlation between central obesity (Belly Fat) and cardiovascular disease.

Now, let's talk about Nigerian Foods that burn Belly Fat:

Foods that burn belly fat represents a significant part of a weight loss plan.
This means adding more nutrients and fiber to your diet plan.

Fat burning foods are "thermogenic” foods. These are REAL, WHOLE FOODS, that are high in complex carbohydrates and protein and they burn fat because:

They require more energy for the body to break them down and use. This results in extra calories being burned just for the sake of digestion and cellular metabolism.

They help to increase our metabolism which results in less insulin being released into the blood stream and a more balanced energy flow during our waking hours resulting in less snacking on sugary sweets.

Now, the secret of making thermogenic foods work for you is to combine it with lean proteins (which I will talk about shortly). When you learn to do this during eating times, what you are doing is putting together the foundation for a flatter belly.
Now, let’s take a look at the list of Nigerian foods that would help you burn your belly fat speedily:

Yams (almost same as sweet potatoes): when combined with a lean protein such as egg or chicken breast and some vegetables such tomatoes, spinach or cucumbers, this will ensure that the extra calories are burned off to prevent to storage of fat in your belly and around your waist.

Soy milk: The milk has no fat and a rich source of vegetable protein.
The protein content can measure up to the proteins provided by meats.
Green vegetables and fruits contain ample amounts of fiber that helps ease constipation. Fibers also delays carbohydrates and glucose absorption. Fibers help detoxify and cleanse the system.
A Banana has only 105 calories and almost no fat. It contains B6, magnesium and potassium and is also rich in fiber. You could combine it with the right amount of rice and beans. When taken at the right time of the day, would help burn off the calories to keep fat from accumulating in your belly.

Oatmeal (your popular Quaker oats, which are now available in small sachets in Nigerian markets) helps dissolve fats, and unhealthy cholesterol and this in turn prevents diabetes, and stroke (did you know that?)

Olive oil is the best component for dressing in salads. Olive oil has proven reputation to lower the unhealthy cholesterol levels.
Turkey, Chicken, and Pork. Of the three, turkey is probably the healthiest,
as it’s the leanest; however they all have substantial amounts of Leucine,
the amino acid found in the protein of lean meats. This stimulates your
blood sugar and insulin levels, making you feel fuller and suppressing your
desire for food. Additionally, Leucine also raises the amount of glucose used
by your muscles, which would otherwise have been saved as fat around your waist and belly.

You should also eat Nuts. They are filling and rich in protein, and are high in fat, but the unsaturated variety, which if consumed in portion-controlled amounts might aid in burning belly fat. By taking the place of more usual protein options, nuts can diminish the saturated fat and calories in your complete diet program and are considered top fat burning foods for losing weight. coconuts and walnuts are wonderful as an integral part of your best fat burning foods.
From the health standpoint, the greasier it is, the less healthy it is; always remember this, when you go to the eatry or mama put to grab your food

20 Things Every Woman Should Know About Her Vagina

It’s amazing how much misinformation is out there about the vagina. Given how fascinated our society is with the female body, you’d think we’d be a little more informed.

20 Things Every Woman Should Know About Her Vagina

To help out, I’ve compiled a list of 20 things I believe everyone should know about the vagina.

  1.  While men do pee out of the penis, women do not pee out of the vagina. There are three holes and countless other sexy structures. Learn to know your anatomy.  Get a hand mirror and go to town.  From front to back, the urethra is the first hole, the vagina is the second, and the anus is the third. Don’t laugh! You’d be amazed how many people don’t know this.

  2. The vagina doesn’t connect to your lung. If you lose something in there, don’t worry. Reach in all the way and pull it out. Do not--I repeat, do not--go hunting for whatever you’ve lost with a pair of pliers. If you think you put something in there and you can’t find it, chances are good that it’s simply not there. Think of your vagina as being like a sock. If you lose a banana in a sock…it stays in the sock.

  3. Yes, it’s true--your vagina can fall out. Not to belabor the sock metaphor, but it can turn inside out just like a worn out sweat sock and hang between your legs as you get older. But don’t fret; this condition--called pelvic prolapse-- can be fixed.

  4. Contrary to popular mythology, there’s no such thing as being revirginized. Once you lose it, it’s gone. Just so you know.

  5. You can catch sexually transmitted diseases even if you use a condom. Sorry to break it to you, but the skin of the vulva can still touch infectious skin of the scrotum--and BAM! Warts. Herpes. Molluscum contagiosum. Pubic lice. So pick your partners carefully.

  6. The vagina is like a bicep. Use it or lose it. If you don’t have a partner, pick up a battery-operated boyfriend to help keep things healthy as you age. But don't worry--it's usually not an issue until after menopause, when fragile vaginal tissue can scar and shrink. If properly tended, your vagina will be able to pleasure you until the day you leave this life.

  7. Every vulva is different and special. Some lips hang down. Some are tucked up neatly inside. Some are long. Some are short. Some are even. Some aren’t. All are beautiful. You’re perfect just the way you are.

  8. Most women don’t have orgasms from intercourse alone. The clitoris is where the action is. Most women who do orgasm during sex have figured out how to hit their sweet spot, either from positioning or from direct stimulation of the clitoris with fingers.

  9. If you’re hunting for your G Spot, be patient. Stimulating this area usually requires more time and deeper stimulation than most people think. Try using a finger in a “come hither” motion to stimulate the front wall of the vagina, where the G spot lives. If you can’t find it, don’t worry. You’re not alone. Many can’t--and it's definitely not critical to having a fulfilling romp in the hay.

  10. How you choose to decorate is completely personal. Waxing, shaving, tattooing, piercing, or simply going au natural. It's your choice, and don't let anyone else pressure you into doing something that doesn't resonate with you.

  11. The vagina doesn’t need to be douched. As Eve Ensler says, ““My vagina doesn’t need to be cleaned up. It smells good already. Don’t try to decorate. Don’t believe him when he tells you it smells like rose petals when it’s supposed to smell like pussy. That’s what they’re doing – trying to clean it up, make it smell like bathroom spray or a garden. All those douche sprays--floral, berry, rain. I don’t want my pussy to smell like rain. All cleaned up like washing a fish after you cook it. I want to taste the fish. That’s why I ordered it.” Amen, sister. I second that.

  12. The only cancer a Pap smear screens for is cervical cancer. It doesn’t check your ovaries, your uterus, or your colon, so even if you don’t need yearly Paps, you still need to have a yearly pelvic exam.

  13. How much vaginal discharge you make varies widely. Some normal, healthy women spew loads of discharge and need to wear panty liners every day. Others are bone dry. As long as you are not at risk of STD's and you have no itching, burning, or odor, you're probably just fine. If in doubt, see your gynecologist.

  14. Menstrual blood is supposed to clot, so don’t freak out. Usually, what you think are clots are just pieces of uterine lining. As long as you’re not losing too much blood, small clots during your period need not concern you. Clots are just nature's way of keeping you from bleeding too much. Blood is supposed to clot. It's when the clots are large or you start to hemorrhage that we start to worry.

  15. Lots of vaginas need help lubing up during sex, especially as you get older. Don’t be afraid to slick on some lubricant like K-Y Jelly or Astroglide. Or try coconut oil, which is a great natural lubricant- but don't blame me if you find yourself hankering for a post-coital macaroon.

  16. Vaginal farts (some call them “queefs” or “varts”) happen to almost all women at one time or another, especially during sex or other forms of exercise. Don’t be embarrassed. You’re perfectly normal.

  17. Vaginas stretch out when you have babies vaginally. It’s natural but it can leave you feeling a bit loosey goosey. Kegel exercises that contract the muscles of the vagina really do help. To do them, practice stopping the stream of urine when you pee. There--that's the muscle! Now contract and relax it 10 X for three or more sets several times per day.

  18. Some women do ejaculate during orgasm, but you’re normal if you don’t. The controversial “female ejaculation” most likely represents two different phenomena. If it’s a small amount of milky fluid, it likely comes from the paraurethral glands inside the urethra. If it’s a cup, it’s probably pee. Many times, it may be a little bit of both. But don't stress out about peeing on yourself. Put a towel under you and surrender to the experience.

  19. Sex shouldn't hurt, but it does for many women. If you're one of those women, see your doctor. So many women are too embarrassed to say anything, so they suffer in silence. There are things we docs can do to help you.

  20. Safe sex (or even just orgasm alone) is good for you. Benefits include lowering your risk of heart disease and stroke, reducing your risk of breast cancer, bolstering your immune system, helping you sleep, making you appear more youthful, improving your fitness, regulating menstrual cycles, relieving menstrual cramps, helping with chronic pain, reducing the risk of depression, lowering stress levels, and improving self esteem. So go at it, girlfriends!

So there you go. There you have it.  It’s important to know this kind of stuff, because you can’t truly love all of yourself until you love your girly parts.  Your vagina is the portal to all things magical in your life. Once you own and accept this part of yourself, you can do and be anything you choose.  The more you know, the more you’re empowered to live life out loud, love fully, and really rock this life.

What to Eat to Avoid Mosquito Bites

Mosquitoes find their victims by smell. Specifically, their sensory organs are trained to zero in on sources of carbon dioxide and lactic acid because these chemicals lead them to warm-blooded animals, like you and me.

Why Do Mosquitoes Like Certain People?

You’ve probably noticed that mosquitoes seem to be more attracted to some people than others. That is also because of smell—and not because mosquitoes prefer certain blood-types, as people sometimes say.

Each of us has a distinctive smell, a sort of aromatic fingerprint. There are about 400 or so different aromatic compounds that make up the human scent—and about 30 of them appear to have a masking effect. If any of these compounds happen to be prominent in your aromatic fingerprint, it tends to make you less visible to mosquitoes. Other compounds act as attractants, making certain people not just visible to mosquitoes but bona fide mosquito magnets. About 10% of the population are mosquito magnets.
So, is there anything you can do to manipulate your smell in a way that makes you less appealing to mosquitoes? Is there any truth to the old wives’ tale that eating garlic can repel mosquitoes? Actually, there is.

 Does Garlic Keep Mosquitoes Away?

Eating garlic offer mild protection from mosquitoes, both from the odor on your breath as well as sulfur compounds that you emit through your skin.
The smell of garlic is known to repel mosquitoes. For example, you can buy garlic sprays to put on your garden if you don’t mind the yard smelling like an Italian restaurant. Smearing your body with garlic-scented lotion is apparently effective as well, although it will probably repel more than just mosquitoes. Eating garlic may also give you some mild protection, both from the odor on your breath as well as sulfur compounds that you emit through your skin when you eat garlic.
In the end, though, scientists estimate that genetics account for about 85% of our attractiveness to mosquitoes, so we mosquito magnets may have to reconcile ourselves to our fate.
Another way to be less visible or less attractive to mosquitoes is not to exert yourself too much when mosquitoes are around. When you exercise, you give off more lactic acid and more carbon dioxide, which brings them running (well, flying). This will be the one and only time when I’ll be advising you to be more sedentary, so make the most of it!

Which Foods will Help You Avoid Mosquito Bites?
According to chemistry professor Anne Helmenstine, eating certain foods, especially foods that are salty or high in potassium, also increases the amount of lactic acid that you off-gas. I trust you know which foods are salty. As for potassium, the richest dietary sources are fruits and vegetables and I don’t think I can quite bring myself to recommend that you eat fewer fruits and vegetables—not even to save you from the mosquitoes. The farthest I’m willing to go is to suggest that you select blueberries, apples, watermelon, cucumbers, cabbage, and green peppers, which are relatively low in potassium, instead of potatoes, prunes, raisins, spinach, bananas, lima beans, and acorn squash, all of which are particularly high in potassium.

Gandhi's 10 Rules for Changing the World

“You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.”

“The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world’s problem.”

“If I had no sense of humor, I would long ago have committed suicide.”
Mahatma Gandhi needs no long introduction. Everyone knows about the man who lead the Indian people to independence from British rule in 1947.

So let’s just move on to some of my favourite tips from Mahatma Gandhi.

1. Change yourself.
“You must be the change you want to see in the world.”
“As human beings, our greatness lies not so much in being able to remake the world – that is the myth of the atomic age – as in being able to remake ourselves.”
If you change yourself you will change your world. If you change how you think then you will change how you feel and what actions you take. And so the world around you will change. Not only because you are now viewing your environment through new lenses of thoughts and emotions but also because the change within can allow you to take action in ways you wouldn’t have – or maybe even have thought about – while stuck in your old thought patterns.
And the problem with changing your outer world without changing yourself is thatyou will still be you when you reach that change you have strived for. You will still have your flaws, anger, negativity, self-sabotaging tendencies etc. intact.
And so in this new situation you will still not find what you hoped for since your mind is still seeping with that negative stuff. And if you get more without having some insight into and distance from your ego it may grow more powerful. Since your ego loves to divide things, to find enemies and to create separation it may start to try to create even more problems and conflicts in your life and world.

2. You are in control.
“Nobody can hurt me without my permission.”
What you feel and how you react to something is always up to you. There may be a “normal” or a common way to react to different things. But that’s mostly just all it is.
You can choose your own thoughts, reactions and emotions to pretty much everything. You don’t have to freak out, overreact of even react in a negative way. Perhaps not every time or instantly. Sometimes a knee-jerk reaction just goes off. Or an old thought habit kicks in.
And as you realize that no-one outside of yourself can actually control how you feel you can start to incorporate this thinking into your daily life and develop it as a thought habit. A habit that you can grow stronger and stronger over time. Doing this makes life a whole lot easier and more pleasurable.

3. Forgive and let it go.
“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.”
“An eye for eye only ends up making the whole world blind.”
Fighting evil with evil won’t help anyone. And as said in the previous tip, you always choose how to react to something. When you can incorporate such a thought habit more and more into your life then you can react in a way that is more useful to you and others.
You realize that forgiving and letting go of the past will do you and the people in your world a great service. And spending your time in some negative memory won’t help you after you have learned the lessons you can learn from that experience. You’ll probably just cause yourself more suffering and paralyze yourself from taking action in this present moment.
If you don’t forgive then you let the past and another person to control how you feel. By forgiving you release yourself from those bonds. And then you can focus totally on, for instance, the next point.

4. Without action you aren’t going anywhere.
“An ounce of practice is worth more than tons of preaching.”
Without taking action very little will be done. However, taking action can be hard and difficult. There can be much inner resistance.

And so you may resort to preaching, as Gandhi says. Or reading and studying endlessly. And feeling like you are moving forward. But getting little or no practical results in real life.
So, to really get where you want to go and to really understand yourself and your world you need to practice. Books can mostly just bring you knowledge. You have to take action and translate that knowledge into results and understanding.
You can check out a few effective tips to overcome this problem in How to Take More Action: 9 Powerful Tips. Or you can move on to the next point for more on the best tip for taking more action that I have found so far.

5. Take care of this moment.
“I do not want to foresee the future. I am concerned with taking care of the present. God has given me no control over the moment following.”
The best way that I have found to overcome the inner resistance that often stops us from taking action is to stay in the present as much as possible and to be accepting.
Why? Well, when you are in the present moment you don’t worry about the next moment that you can’t control anyway. And the resistance to action that comes from you imagining negative future consequences – or reflecting on past failures – of your actions loses its power. And so it becomes easier to both take action and to keep your focus on this moment and perform better.
Have a look at 8 Ways to Return to the Present Moment for tips on how quickly step into the now. And remember that reconnecting with and staying in the now is a mental habit – a sort of muscle – that you grow. Over time it becomes more powerful and makes it easier to slip into the present moment.

6. Everyone is human.
“I claim to be a simple individual liable to err like any other fellow mortal. I own, however, that I have humility enough to confess my errors and to retrace my steps.”
“It is unwise to be too sure of one’s own wisdom. It is healthy to be reminded that the strongest might weaken and the wisest might err.”
When you start to make myths out of people – even though they may have produced extraordinary results – you run the risk of becoming disconnected from them. You can start to feel like you could never achieve similar things that they did because they are so very different. So it’s important to keep in mind that everyone is just a human being no matter who they are.
And I think it’s important to remember that we are all human and prone to make mistakes. Holding people to unreasonable standards will only create more unnecessary conflicts in your world and negativity within you.
It’s also important to remember this to avoid falling into the pretty useless habit of beating yourself up over mistakes that you have made. And instead be able to see with clarity where you went wrong and what you can learn from your mistake. And then try again.

7. Persist.
“First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.”
Be persistent. In time the opposition around you will fade and fall away. And your inner resistance and self-sabotaging tendencies that want to hold you back and keep you like you have always been will grow weaker.
Find what you really like to do. Then you’ll find the inner motivation to keep going, going and going. You can also find a lot of useful tips on how keep your motivation up in How to Get Out of a Motivational Slump and 25 Simple Ways to Motivate Yourself.
One reason Gandhi was so successful with his method of non-violence was because he and his followers were so persistent. They just didn’t give up.
Success or victory will seldom come as quickly as you would have liked it to. I think one of the reasons people don’t get what they want is simply because they give up too soon. The time they think an achievement will require isn’t the same amount of time it usually takes to achieve that goal. This faulty belief partly comes from the world we live in. A world full of magic pill solutions where advertising continually promises us that we can lose a lot of weight or earn a ton of money in just 30 days. You can read more about this in One Big Mistake a Whole Lot of People Make.
Finally, one useful tip to keep your persistence going is to listen to Gandhi’s third quote in this article and keep a sense of humor. It can lighten things up at the toughest of times.

8. See the good in people and help them.
“I look only to the good qualities of men. Not being faultless myself, I won’t presume to probe into the faults of others.”
“Man becomes great exactly in the degree in which he works for the welfare of his fellow-men.”
“I suppose leadership at one time meant muscles; but today it means getting along with people.”
There is pretty much always something good in people. And things that may not be so good. But you can choose what things to focus on. And if you want improvement then focusing on the good in people is a useful choice. It also makes life easier for you as your world and relationships become more pleasant and positive.
And when you see the good in people it becomes easier to motivate yourself to be of service to them. By being of service to other people, by giving them value you not only make their lives better. Over time you tend to get what you give. And the people you help may feel more inclined to help other people. And so you, together, create an upward spiral of positive change that grows and becomes stronger.
By strengthening your social skills you can become a more influential person and make this upward spiral even stronger. A few articles that may provide you with useful advice in that department are Do You Make These 10 Mistakes in a Conversation? and Dale Carnegie’s Top 10 Tips for Improving Your Social Skills. Or you can just move on to the next tip.

9. Be congruent, be authentic, be your true self.
“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.”
“Always aim at complete harmony of thought and word and deed. Always aim at purifying your thoughts and everything will be well.”
I think that one of the best tips for improving your social skills is to behave in a congruent manner and communicate in an authentic way. People seem to really like authentic communication. And there is much inner enjoyment to be found when your thoughts, words and actions are aligned. You feel powerful and good about yourself.
When words and thoughts are aligned then that shows through in your communication. Because now you have your voice tonality and body language – some say they are over 90 percent of communication – in alignment with your words.
With these channels in alignment people tend to really listen to what you’re saying. You are communicating without incongruency, mixed messages or perhaps a sort of phoniness.
Also, if your actions aren’t in alignment with what you’re communicating then you start to hurt your own belief in what you can do. And other people’s belief in you too.

10. Continue to grow and evolve.
”Constant development is the law of life, and a man who always tries to maintain his dogmas in order to appear consistent drives himself into a false position.”
You can pretty much always improve your skills, habits or re-evaluate your evaluations. You can gain deeper understanding of yourself and the world.
Sure, you may look inconsistent or like you don’t know what you are doing from time to time. You may have trouble to act congruently or to communicate authentically. But if you don’t then you will, as Gandhi says, drive yourself into a false position. A place where you try to uphold or cling to your old views to appear consistent while you realise within that something is wrong. It’s not a fun place to be. To choose to grow and evolve is a happier and more useful path to take.

Skipping breakfast may raise diabetes risk

Skipping breakfast every day may be a bad idea after all especially if you are overweight because it could increase the risk of developing diabetes.

A small new study found that when women skipped the morning meal, they experienced insulin resistance, a condition in which a person requires more insulin to bring their blood sugar into a normal range, explained Dr. Elizabeth Thomas, an instructor of medicine at the University of Colorado.

This insulin resistance was short-term in the study, but when the condition is chronic, it is a risk factor for diabetes, Thomas said. She is due to present her findings at the Endocrine Society's annual meeting in San Francisco.
"Eating a healthy breakfast is probably beneficial," Thomas said. "It may not only help you control your weight but avoid diabetes." Diabetes has been diagnosed in more than 10 million Nigerians. Most have type 2 diabetes, in which the body does not make enough insulin or does not use it effectively. Excess weight is a risk factor for diabetes.
The new study included nine women. Their average age was 29, and all were overweight or obese. Thomas measured their levels of insulin and blood sugar on two different days after the women ate lunch. On one day, they had eaten breakfast; on the other day, they had skipped it.
Glucose levels normally rise after eating a meal, and that in turn triggers insulin production, which helps the cells take in the glucose and convert it to energy.
However, the women's insulin and glucose levels after lunch were much higher on the day they skipped breakfast than on the day they ate it. On the day they did not eat breakfast, Thomas explained, "they required a higher level of insulin to handle the same meal."
"There was a 28 percent increase in the insulin response and a 12 percent increase in the glucose response after skipping breakfast," she said. That's a mild rise in glucose and a moderate rise in insulin, she noted.

Because this study was presented at a medical meeting, the data and conclusions are viewed as preliminary until published in a peer-reviewed journal. "Their study doesn't prove causation," said Dr. Joel Zonszein, a professor of clinical medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and director of the Clinical Diabetes Center at Montefiore Medical Center, in New York City. The study found only a link or association between breakfast skipping and higher insulin levels. More research is needed for confirmation, another expert said.

"This is a small, but very interesting, study," said Dr. Ping Wang, director of the University of California, Irvine, Health Diabetes Center. "The findings will have to be verified with larger studies." Whether the effect is short-term or long-term is not known, Wang said.
Zonszein recommends against either skipping meals or eating very frequent meals, the so-called nibbling diet. "Studies done in Europe have shown that a large meal in the middle of the day is better than a large meal at dinner," he said.

However, he acknowledged that pattern is more of a habit in Europe than in the United States. Even so, he advises his patients to eat a good breakfast, a good lunch and a lighter dinner. Other ways to reduce diabetes risk, according to the American Diabetes Association, are to control weight, blood pressure and cholesterol and to be physically active.

Woman Gives birth to Twins after using Trevo

Multiple pregnancies are rare occurrence. The human body was meant to be releasing an ovum each month alternatively from each ovary. But some people are genetically inclined to release multiple eggs which usually lead to twins or triplets while some are induced by the food we eat- especially fruits, the herbs we use to heal the body and some supplement as the case may be. Recently a lot of fertility problems have been resolved by drinking Trevo and also several testimony of twins have been recorded because Trevo cleanses the body system and stimulates the ovaries to release multiple eggs without the usual side effects of ovulation inducing drugs.

White Rice Increases Risk of Type 2 Diabetes, Study Claims

The risk of type 2 diabetes is significantly increased if white rice is eaten regularly, claims a study

Harvard School of Public Health look at previous studies and evidence of the association between eating white rice and the risk of type 2 diabetes. Their study seeks to determine whether this risk is dependent on the amount of rice consumed and if the association is stronger for the Asian population, who tend to eat more white rice than the Western world.

The authors analysed the results of four studies: two in Asian countries (China and Japan) and two in Western countries (USA and Australia). All participants were diabetes free at study baseline.
White rice is the predominant type of rice eaten worldwide and has high GI values. High GI diets are associated with an increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes. The average amount of rice eaten varies widely between Western and Asian countries, with the Chinese population eating an average of four portions a day while those in the Western world eat less than five portions a week.
A significant trend was found in both Asian and Western countries with a stronger association found amongst women than men. The results also show that the more white rice eaten, the higher the risk of type 2 diabetes: the authors estimate that the risk of type 2 diabetes is increased by 10% with each increased serving of white rice (assuming 158g per serving).
White rice has a lower content of nutrients than brown rice including fibre, magnesium and vitamins, some of which are associated with a lower risk of type 2 diabetes. The authors report, therefore, that a high consumption of white rice may lead to increased risk because of the low intake of these nutrients.

Because brown rice consumption was low in the study population, the researchers could not determine whether brown rice intake at much higher levels was associated with a further reduction in diabetes risk. Substitution of other whole grains for white rice was more strongly associated with lowering diabetes risk. This observation, said the researchers, may result from more reliable estimates based on participants' higher consumption of whole grains other than brown rice.

In conclusion, the authors state that "higher white rice intake is associated with a significantly elevated risk of type 2 diabetes." This applies for both Asian and Western cultures, although due to findings suggesting that the more rice eaten the higher the risk, it is thought that Asian countries are at a higher risk. The authors recommend eating whole grains instead of refined carbohydrates such as white rice, which they hope will help slow down the global diabetes epidemic.
In an accompanying editorial, Dr Bruce Neal from the University of Sydney suggests that more, bigger studies are needed to substantiate the research hypothesis that white rice increases the chances of getting type 2 diabetes.

Comment: Consume more of brown rice e.g Ofada rice  the health benefit is higher and more richer than rice important from Asia with low nutrient and quality as a recent of years of storage e.g 15 years
