Here are the top 7 Common Mistakes almost every Network Marketer make

Lots of people join Network Marketing company  year in and out with lot of excitement because of the promise of financial freedom that comes with it, haven seen friends and relatives or hearsays that their financial statues turned around and they believe just like lottery or is it lotto games its their time to win their own money without taking time to look and study the profession called Network Marketing.

Here are the top 7 Common Mistakes almost every Network Marketer has made

1. Start calling their friends and family as soon as they sign up. As exciting as it is to launch a new business, it's just as important to get trained first. A Real Estate agent has to take a certain amount of classes and pass an exam before practicing real estate. A McDonald's franchise owner has to go to Hamburger University before they're allowed to own a McDonald's. Yet, in our industry – so many new recruits jump right into the deep end and wonder why they can't swim.

If you ask any me, successful network marketer knows what the most important part of their business is and the answer will be unanimous: training.

2. Quit after a few negative responses. Harry Potter, the best-selling novel/series that put J.K. Rowling on the map and earned her the title of first author billionaire, has over 48,000 1 star reviews. However, this isn't the first of the negative responses J.K. Rowling received. She received 20 rejections from publishers before Harry Potter was finally picked up, Lord of the Flies received 20, Gone with the Wind 38 and Gertrude Stein sent poems in for over 22 years before one was finally published.

We all know the famous Michael Jordan story of how he got rejected from his Sophomore basketball team. It was that rejection that motivated his basketball career. What seperates business minded people from the non-business minded people is how they handle rejection. Although neither party enjoys rejection, the business-minded person uses rejection as fuel for their fire instead of the water that puts it out.

3. Answer every question. It's okay not to know all the answers. Yet, for some reason, a new person is more reluctant to say the words 'I don't know'. There's not a single person in any field who knows everything they need to know about their specialty. When asked a question they don't know the answer to, a new person panics and will say what they believe the answer is. Often times, they find out later they misinformed their customer/prospect and now has to go back for 'cleanup'.

The better solution would be to say, "I don't know, but I can find out." Then get the answer to them. Your customer will appreciate this more in the long run because now they know you're 1. honest and 2. follow through with your word.

4. Take advice from the wrong people.  "Don't take advice from anyone more stupid than you." Although that's probably a harsh way to say it, it was part of a great speech made in front of thousands and one that I've listened to at least a dozen times.

It's probably the most common mistake a newbie makes. They sign up with said company and the first thing they do is ask their broke Uncle Bob what they think. Find someone who has what you want, do what they do, and you'll get what they got. If you want to learn how to make a million dollars, then chances are your buddy Joe, who's living paycheck to paycheck, is not the right person to ask. The same goes with business.

5. Google the company to see if it's legit. This is great if the person knows how to decipher the good info from the piles of junk, bust most people don't. The internet is like a bathroom wall and anyone can say whatever they want. One disgruntled customer or recruit can write a blog about their experience and suddenly this becomes fact because it's on Google.

6. Is "try to do more than one MLM at a time". There is an old industry saying, "if you chase two rabbits with one dog, you catch neither" the funny thing about this is that most untrained network marketers see belonging to different Network Marketing company as multiple streams of income. (Lol) which is deception and confusion of the highest orders and the advice I normally give is build you team, get them trained and support them and masive residual income will be a byproduct you get from your efforts which you can invest in other business outside network marketing and that what I call multiple streams of income.

7. Most untrained Network Marketers believes that in MLM the Fresher it is the Juicer it will become that is to say they want to be the first person that will register with this just launched company before others will know. This is one major cause most people fail in our industry because they are not focused and don't put company structure, Management and Training in to consideration.

Putting all these points into consideration and wishing I discovered this points 13 years ago when I joined the Network Marketing indutry,  Life would have been alot easier but anyway I have seen alot and still learning about what works and my research and experiance about Trevo has proven to be an amazing and effort rewarding company to work with both now and in the future and my reasons are anchoured on 5 major reasons which is Founders, Product, Compensation Plan, Market and structure.

1. Founder. Mark Steven is the founder of Trevo with many years of network marketing experience as a professional network marketer and a successful CEO of many other companies with lots of entreprenuership achievements and one of the most successful business man in American today. Ask Google, even knows him.

2. Product. Am yet to see any other bio available natural Nutriceutical intelligent product with loads of life transforming testimonies like Trevo consisting of 174 ingredients madeup of Herbs, Vegetables, friuts, vitamins, minerals, sea vegetables, Glutathione and exotics friuts.

3. Compensation Plan. Trevo puts money into your pocket in 8 different ways but the most amazing and interesting one to me is that I get to earn 15% global pool bonus monthly from a multi billion dollar global business. So I have the leverage to earn globally from people I don't know and will never meet and all I have to do on my own part is recruiting and building my own team locally.

4. Market. Its a billion people market, YES, because Trevo is a daily consumable product targeted at wellness and not sickness and If you check the health statues of the world today am yet to see any other product needed as Trevo in a timing like this and just imagine having access to 200 million population in a country like Nigeria where Trevo has produced lots of millionaires and others in making.

5. Structure. In Nigeria out of 36 states Trevo is already in 23 states in just three years of doing business Nigeria and the demand and request to open more states officially keeps coming in. It simply means as a distributor you have physical office presence in 23 states and you can recruit anyone from any of this states with your Trevo id number like am already doing. Am yet to see any company out of the 64 different companies we have in Nigeria today that can or will boast of having same structure in the next 15 years.

Senator Uche Chukwumerije Dies Of Cancer

Chairman of the Senate Committee on Education,  Senator Uche Chukwumerije,  died on Sunday evening after battling with a prolong lung cancer.

The ranking senator and former Information Minister, born in November 1939, was aged 75.
The family, in a statement by Chidi Chukwumerije,  titled,  ‘The passing of an inspirational icon’, explained that the late senator,  who represented Abia North Senatorial District in the upper chamber,  died,  “surrounded by his family.”

The statement reads, “Comrade Uche Chukwumerije passed into the open arms of history, and of our Lord Jesus Christ, after a long but gallant battle with lung cancer.
“His life is in many volumes, which can only be told with care and time, of dedication and focus, integrity and discipline, and an unbroken love for the highest ideals of our shared humanity.”

“His life is in many volumes, which can only be told with care and time, of dedication and focus, integrity and discipline, and an unbroken love for the highest ideals of our shared humanity.”
The family explained that details of his  burial arrangements would be announced in due course even as it requested prayers and good wishes.

Senate President, David Mark, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Paul Mumeh,  expressed shock and sadness at the news of the death of Chukwumerije.
Mark  stated that Nigeria had lost an erudite and extra ordinary nationalist, lamenting that Chukwumerije was one of the brightest and fertile minds in the Senate.

He said, “He (Chukwumerije) radiated intelligence, exemplary conduct in both public and private life.  He was a team player, who brought meaning to hard work . He was focused and determined to make positive difference.

“Chukwumerije was a shinning light and a pathfinder. We shall miss him. No doubt he left a vacuum that will too hard to fill. He was a consummate and passionate Nigerian, who believed in the sanctity of the peace and unity of the nation.”

Also Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, while reacting to the passing on of the ranking Senator, described him as a fearless politician, who fought for the interest of the common man and his people.

He  described him as “a patriot, who gave his best towards the peace, unity and development of Nigeria”

Tips To Feel Better, Look Younger, And Live Longer By Dr. Brian Wilmovsky

RUST AND ANTIOXIDANTS

Wellness expert and best-selling author

On January 23, 2011, America lost a fitness legend. Many of us grew up watching him on television every morning in his workout clothes, exercising with a chair or a towel or other household items to the sound of organ music in the background with his faithful dog right beside him. Of course, I am speaking of Jack LaLanne, the godfather of fitness, who was responsible for getting many generations of Americans off the couch and into regular fitness routines.

An interesting fact about LaLanne that many people do not know is that he was a doctor of chiropractic who received his Chiropractic degree in 1936. Not only was he famous for his daily televised exercise routines, he was also famous for the many world records he set - including the record for greatest number of push-ups (1,033 in 23 minutes done at the age of 42).

LaLanne was also well known for his quotes or "LaLanne-isms" as they are often called. One of my favorite LaLanne-isms is this: "It is better to wear out than to rust out." This, of course, speaks of the benefits of exercise on the body but it also speaks to the problem of free radicals and the effect they have on our bodies; that is, rust or oxidation.

That is what I want to discuss this month - Rust and Antioxidants.

When most people hear the word "rust," they think about something that happens to old cars or tin cans. But did you know that the human body can also rust on the inside? It is a similar process to the kind of rust that happens to old cars because it is a simple chemical reaction.

Chemistry 101

To better illustrate how rust works, here's a quick refresher course of the chemistry class you may had in high school or college.
Remember that an atom consists of a nucleus (neutrons and protons) and electrons. The neutrons have a neutral charge, the protons have a positive charge, and the electrons have a negative charge. The number of protons in the atom's nucleus determines the number of electrons that surrounds the atom. The electrons have shells that fill at different levels around the nucleus of the atom. These electrons combine in the chemical reactions and are what bonds the atoms together to create molecules.

The number of electrons in the outer shell of the atom determines the chemical behavior of the atom. Because atoms always seek a state of stability, they will bond with other atoms to complete the outer shell if an electron is missing. Ordinarily, bonds of atoms don't split in a way that will leave a molecule with an unpaired electron. However, weak bonds will sometimes split and form what is called a free radical.

Since all atoms try to maintain maximum stability, a free radical will always react with other compounds in an attempt to maintain stability. Free radicals will scavenge an electron from the nearest molecule that has stability, which changes that molecule into another free radical which can cause a chain reaction that, in the end, causes damage to a living cell.

The element that our bodies require for so many of the life processes - oxygen - is the same element that can create these harmful free radicals. Left unchecked, these free radicals lead to the cell damage
I just mentioned and, ultimately, to chronic disease.

Free radicals containing oxygen, known as reactive oxygen species (ROS), are the most significant free radicals in our bodies. These free radicals can be produced by many different external sources such as exposure to the sun, ozone, pollution, use of electrical appliances, and stress.
They can also be created in our bodies by the things we do or put into it, like drinking alcoholic beverages, smoking, exposure to x-rays, or junk foods. Free radicals are also created by normal body processes like breathing, metabolism and inflammation. As we age, our body parts become damaged by free radicals - in other words, we "rust."

There are normal processes our bodies go through as we age and are common to everyone. There are also other factors that influence our body's processes, including genetics and environmental differences, which effect free radical damage in our bodies.

Some forms of cancer and atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries), two major causes of death in America, are common examples of free radical diseases. Damage to the arterial walls by free radicals can affect how the lipids in our blood can stick to the arterial walls and form blockages. This is why it is important that we watch what foods and other substances we put into our bodies. We need to have a diet filled with good foods that protect against these deadly diseases that are so prevalent around us.

We need antioxidants!

So What Are Antioxidants?

Antioxidants are anti-oxidation agents that reduce the free radicals by binding together with these harmful molecules, thus eliminating the damaging effect they can have on healthy cells. They can even help to repair some of the damage the free radicals have inflicted upon healthy cells.
There are a couple of ways that antioxidants do their jobs. There are chain-breaking antioxidants like beta-carotene and vitamins C and E which break the cycle of electron-stealing by free radicals, thus stabilizing them so they are unable to do further damage to other cells.

Another type of antioxidants is preventative. Preventative antioxidants are enzymes like superoxide dismutase, catalase, and glutathione peroxidase which scavenge free radicals and stop the oxidation chain from even getting started. These particular antioxidant enzymes are produced in the body.
Many antioxidants are plentiful in the healthy foods we consume. Foods with lots of color are usually the best. Colorful foods such as oranges, red peppers, tomatoes, spinach, and carrots are brimming with powerful antioxidants. These fruits and vegetables also contain high concentrations of vitamin A, C, E and beta-carotene.

Raw fruits and vegetables, rather than cooked, provide the highest concentration and best absorption of free radical-destroying antioxidants. Dietary supplements like Trévo are also fantastic for providing the antioxidants your body needs.

Trévo is one of the best dietary supplements I have seen for providing a wealth of antioxidants because it is full of so many powerful and free radical-busting foods.
Take, for example, just the ingredients in Trévo's SuperORAC PowerBlend Proprietary Blend. Each and every one of these ingredients is among the highest rated (ORAC number) antioxidants available. ORAC stands for Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity and is a unit of measure that determines the antioxidant levels in food.

Foods that have a higher ORAC score have more antioxidants in them. Of course, this means that the higher the ORAC score, the greater ability that specific food has to protect against free radical damage.

In Trévo's SuperORAC PowerBlend Proprietary Blend, you have fruits such as mangosteen, acai berry, Tibetan goji fruit, noni fruit, maqui berry, amalaki berry, schizandra berry, acerola cherry, ashwagandha, bacopa, green tea, and Chinese wolfberry. Each of these foods contains very high ORAC scores.

Notice that on Trévo's product label, the SuperORAC PowerBlend Proprietary Blend contains 12,000 mg of these fabulous antioxidant-rich foods in each serving. This tells us that when you take a serving of Trévo, you are receiving 12,000 mg of these incredibly potent, high ORAC scoring, natural ingredients. And that is just one of the blends in this amazing formula!

Take a look at the other blends in Trévo and you will find ingredients like blueberry, cranberry, and grape which are all great sources of antioxidants.

Disease Prevention and Antioxidants
Science has identified about 4,000 different antioxidants. Vitamins E, C and the carotenoids are certainly the best known and a majority of the research has been done on these three essential nutrients.
Vitamin E has been the focus of a variety of studies regarding its role in disease prevention. It has been found that Vitamin E, being a free radical scavenger, enhances the body's immune responses which are critical for fighting off disease. It is also known to inhibit the build-up of platelets in the blood caused by free radical damage (rust) to the LDL in our blood which, in turn, contributes to arterial wall damage.
Vitamin E, along with selenium supplementation, has been shown to improve the mental well-being of the elderly, as well as help provide relief from arthritis symptoms.
Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) is a powerful antioxidant that has also been shown to be beneficial in many different studies.
One disease that was a horrible problem for sailors and pirates long ago was scurvy. It was found that a diet without vitamin C, common amount the sailors and pirates at that time, led to this disease of bleeding gums and spots on the legs and thighs. Once treated with Vitamin C in citrus fruits, the disease was cured.
There is evidence that Vitamin C increases the HDL ("good" cholesterol) levels in the blood and also lowers total blood cholesterol, thereby reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease. It has also been shown to suppress the formation of cancer-causing agents.
Carotenoids are the red, orange, and yellow pigments found in plants, specifically in fruits and vegetables. One of the most well-known is beta-carotene, which is a precursor to Vitamin A. Others include lycopene and lutein.

It has been found that beta-carotene may alter the way some cancer cells interact or communicate with healthy cells. Beta-carotene acts as a go-between for the two cells and helps the cancer cells to act more like healthy cells. This effectively suppresses or slows the growth of the cancer cell. Carotenoids have also been linked to decreased cataract risk.
Diet is critical for the prevention of many diseases. The more colorful our foods, the better they are able to offer us the necessary antioxidants we need to fight off infection by boosting our immune systems, reduce inflammation, and eliminate the free radicals that are the cause of so many diseases.

A Life Well Lived
Jack LaLanne started out his life as a sickly child. When he was asked about his early life he said, "I was a sugar-holic and a junk food junkie! It made me weak and it made me mean."
He completely changed his life around when he attended a lecture by a nutritionist as a teenager. He cut out the sugar and other unhealthy foods from his diet and began exercising.
LaLanne was soon chosen by a health food company to host a local health food show. Of course, you know that show went national and skyrocketed LaLanne to his status as the original fitness guru.
LaLanne was also a super salesman. One of the most popular products he promoted was a juicer that made healthy drinks available to everyone. He knew the benefits of eating healthy and the advantages of having antioxidants as part of our daily regimen.

He truly lived his LaLanneism of "wearing out rather than rusting out."
And you can, too! It is important to get up and get moving, as Jack LaLanne did. It is also important to eat a diet filled with colorful natural foods and to get the proper amount of rest.

Be sure to also make Trévo an important part of your daily routine. With its wide spectrum of wonderful antioxidants, Trévo truly is the ideal nutritional tool to help you to "wear out rather than rust out."

How you grow your finance without quitting your job, by Pat Utomi

Professor Pat Utomi is not only a role model for the Nigerian youths, the political economist and business angel has continued to engage the Nigerian system through discourses, lectures, seminars and webinars. Recently, at a forum in Lagos on network marketing, the co-founder of the Lagos Business School wowed the audience with what he called his testimony. Beyond that, he unfolded the limitless possibilities of network marketing and the necessity for individuals to always have multiple streams of income.  Nigeria Political Economist was there and captured his thoughts.

I will take a personal perspective in sharing this topic. I will give my personal testimony and how I have been able to organise my life which in the long run gave me soft-landings at every point in time. I go back to the systemic distress in the Nigeria banking industry. The banks have gone through systemic challenges, the first round of systemic challenges was in the 1920s. And in the 1950s was another round of failings which eventually led to the Banking Ordinance of 1959 and the attempt to regulate the banking industry, which meant that from the early 1960s until Structural Adjustment Program (SAP), banking was an extraordinary oligopoly of only government and foreign players. In the 1990s we had our first systemic crisis of the modern era.

I recall a gentleman coming to see me during that crisis, he just lost his job as a Deputy General Manager in a bank and his wife was an AGM in another bank, she also had just lost her job. He felt and looked so helpless and this touched my soul. It wasn’t as if he was going to the next level, this was a no level situation, and he didn’t know what to do as there was no income from another source. He borrowed so much to buy a house, cars etcetera and all I could do at that time was to tell him my story.

My style
I’ve always believed in plan B. I have never lived off one stream of income not so much as a result of worry for income, but just a common sense way of life. When I came back from graduate school in the United States in the very early eighties, 1982 to be precise, I wanted to start my own business straight away. At first people thought it was crazy because  I was in high demand. When I was writing my PhD thesis I had come home to do some field work. I had interviews with some prominent Nigerians then and one of them ( Alhaji Abubakar Alhaji) told me to come back and come take a position with him.

In those days if you come back straight home as a special assistant you’ll become a level 10 worker, and I would have moved into a very significant house in Ikoyi but I chose not to do that. I chose to start a business and everyone thought I was crazy. A few months later the government offered me a presidential advisory role but before that happened I had started a business and a few months after I was offered that position there was a coups d’état. It was as seamless as driving in my car to my home in Ikoyi and driving to Surulere the next day where my office was to resume in my own office. I did not feel jobless for a second. I didn’t realize something had happened and to some people it was the end of the world, they had invested all they had.

How I got government appointment
The story of how I got into government is funny. My views on issues of public policy were expressed very strongly even when I lived in America in the Nigerian newspapers. Ray Ekpu who was editor of the Sunday Times, was a good friend of mine that used to harass me to do opinion pieces from the US. When I came back the then Vice President sought me out and I was commissioned to do some report for him, I did the report and he invited me to the Vice President’s home. It was a second meeting with him in my life and he just casually asked if it has been approved for me to replace Professor Odenigwe. The only word I could think of uttering was ‘why’? Because there was no prior conversation in that direction, and the Professor was my teacher at the University of Nigeria Nsukka, why would I be replacing him? And he turned to his Special Assistant, “look at these young people, they said we don’t know what we are doing, we said they should come and they’re asking why”. So, I asked him if I could think about it, and he gave me leave.

As I was driving back I met a friend of mine from primary school, and he said he heard I was to replace the Professor, I told him I wanted to think about it. He got into my car and asked that we go to his house. He had tried very hard to get this same appointment and I was asking why? You can imagine if that kind of person got the position, what would have happened to him in the night of the coup d’état.

Always have a plan B
I have told these real life stories to buttress the need for everyone to give thought to a plan B in the course of any career. One of the nice things about the plan B is that it may appear attractive enough to make the plan A become questionable.
Many successful businesses we know happened because somebody got fired. The idea of a plan B for me has always been an opportunity to challenge myself. One of the plan Bs that has made currency in the last couple of decades is the plan B that takes advantage of our natural strength. When we do SWOT analysis and we are looking at strength and weaknesses to take advantage of opportunities and manage threats. We always pack up our strength. One strength that is very rarely played up is our natural strength; that is the fact that man was created a gregarious animal. I like to say very often that if God intended man to be individualistic he wouldn’t have created man in a society. Man is basically created as a gift unto others. If our gifting and associating with others flows naturally as part of our humanity, how about building on that to create economic value, because that is all that network marketing is all about.

Someone once told me that if he had to invest again he would invest enormously in network marketing opportunity building because what it does is, allow that natural strength to help cut a lot of cost in distribution channels and create profit for the persons who engage in that track. I’ll make a comment very quickly on why network marketing is sometimes challenged in our environment; it is probably because we’ve not managed to educate people well enough and to create institutional boundaries to regulate the context of network marketing. One of the things I have tried to encourage is the founding of an institute of network marketing, because it has not been properly grounded there are some who have operated network marketing initiatives more or less like quality skills and it has led people to be wary of that process. That is a wrong way to understand this great possibility for marketing, distribution of goods and services. I think another important thing to note about the challenges of network marketing is the terrible syndrome plaguing the country today which is instant gratification. We have built an instant gratification culture in a world where real progress is a function of delayed gratification. People are looking for their reward instantly, if the reward is delayed till three months’ time people become sceptical and that has been the major problem in our environment.

Advantages of network marketing
One advantage of network marketing is the possibility of passive income when we’re not strong enough as we used to. When we look around us, I think one of the most frightening things is the reality that we are getting old. As we get older the things we take for granted that we’re doing now we won’t be able to do again.
If you’re a businessman, getting a lot of contracts now and executing them, even if you’re physically strong you’ll find out in 10-15 years that your connections have become irrelevant; the people who will be happening then are your children’s mates. You’re not getting business any more not because you’re less strong but they’re looking at you as someone that is old fashioned. I say this particularly because I’ve been in a very sad situation in the last one year of having had to be part of a network to contribute money for a friend whom 25 years ago we thought was one of the richest boys in Lagos, to go abroad for treatment. This is depressing.

Old age is inevitable
Many of us live like we’re going to remain the way we are forever and it is not true. The window is very short, it is not just a social thing it is true. In the changing world there is an axiom in organizational learning which says, unless the rate of learning in an organisation is equal to or greater than the pace of change in the environment, the organisation is progressively becoming a dinosaur. Many of us will find out that the knowledge we had yesterday that made us relevant is actually the reasons we’ll be irrelevant sooner. Learning involves two things; unlearning, we have to climb the unlearning curve before we climb the learning curve. What this means is that unless we’re one of those extra ordinary people who manage to keep learning as change is taking place, within a space of 15-20 years we’ll no longer be happening people.

How do we  survive when we’re no longer happening people?
The corporations of now will be getting rid of people much earlier even when you’ve been a great guy in that corporation. They look at you and say you’re no longer near the goal of what they want in the new direction they’re travelling, and you’re settled handsomely with may be N20 million and you think it’s a huge sum, but one year later the money is gone.
It is very important that we ask ourselves what we can do to ensure that after working for money, money can work for us. As we get older the work we do today can now work for us in the future. The way that this has been emerging is through investments, carefully building up your investments portfolio. Before you know it someone in New York has over extended in mortgage lending to some people and they’ve been able to package some risks in some manner that there’re managing to spread the risks out and they call it securitisation and because people in Japan are buying into this, one day the excesses of people who are trying to get bonuses will overheat  the system and you get a systemic blowout and all that your portfolio comes to zero.

A man has just retired, he is 60 years old and can live for another 30 years, but has no capacity to continue to think for himself and just out of worry he is dead within a few years. If he wants to build other platforms, to be able to ensure that those later years are going to be such that the work of yesterday can carry us today. I think we need to be thinking of opportunities. There are people who think that the ultimate investment is in owning properties. Less than 50 per cent of the houses in Ikoyi today are occupied. For many people that is the ultimate safe investment. It is safe quite alright but there is no income.  This means there should be a little more than owning some houses. From the stock market we learnt some lessons as most people sold their properties to invest in the stock market. This is a time to diversify a little bit more, and essentially with network marketing, It is high time you used this natural strength to get people into a network and build this pipeline up line.

Different models for different people
One of the things I have said to people who are managing network marketing enterprises is that if you can teach some to accommodate the possibilities that different type of demographic profiles seek, because many of us come with completely different needs profile. There are those of us who need income every January to pay school fees. Some need income long after retirement. What this means is that network marketing companies have to be more environment and culture sensitive. Move from the Eurocentric to be more African. Profile members; get a sense of what their expectations are and what their goals are and develop products, processes and systems that are more in tune with the needs of the people that are part of this network, if that can be done, you can imagine that many of us who are working professionals can find that we’re in touch with so many people and when we bring certain goods and services to those people they take advantage of it and there is mutual benefit.

One of the real benefits of network marketing in today’s world is that it allows you to run your own business completely. Network marketing organisation provides an electronic platform which also gives you the opportunity to have your own business there which you would not have been able to set up as an entrepreneur. In today’s world, when I first started talking about globalisation and illustrating it in my classes, it sounded esoteric, I remember in a class in 1994 in the Lagos Business School and I was talking about the convergence; the three streams of technology, computing, telecommunications and broadcasting and that the effect of convergence will allow some small player to play with ease, competing against major multinationals anywhere in the world. It will help also the small player to be able to go down to the specific needs of one consumer.

When a network marketing platform gives you the opportunity to go online, take your own business there because there is already a network of say sixty thousand people already on the network and when you put your business there, it means you have a first hit of sixty thousand customers, and then those people can extend it to other people. This is a remarkable opportunity to build one’s business. And what’s even more interesting is that you can actually be building this while you’re still working for other companies and not stealing their time. There are many genuine network marketing schemes out there, take advantage of this unfolding opportunity before it is too late

9 Reasons Why an MLM Business is the Best Kind to Own

A lot of people are down on network marketing businesses (also know as multi-level marketing or MLM), but I’d like to give you 9 reasons why a network marketing business is the best kind of business to own.

1. Your chances for success are better in network marketing.

Yes, some people fail at it. In MLM or network marketing, you will often find that 20% of the people are making 80% of the money. Do you know what? That is exactly the same as the church I belong to-- 20% of the people who attend are actively involved and do 80% of the work that needs to be done.

I’m not surprised that it is similar in MLM. People are people. Some of the people who fail at network marketing are not motivated, some aren’t cut out for self employment, some are in the wrong company for them, and some are just not properly trained. But a motivated and trained person in a good company has a great chance of succeeding in their business.

On the other hand, if you start a “traditional” business your odds of success are much lower. According to the SBA, at least 50% of small businesses fail in their first year and 95% fail within the first five years. So, after 5 years of 12 hour days, in debt up to your eyeballs, you only have a 5% chance of succeeding. For some reason that just doesn’t do it for me.

2. The costs are much less to get into a network marketing business.

Most network marketing companies ask for a monthly minimum order to keep an active distributor status, it is true. This is part of what keeps the machine running. It is part of the business operating costs. It may be as much as $100, depending on the company.

Now compare that to the costs of traditional business ownership, like rent, utilities, inventory, insurance, taxes, employees, marketing and advertising, and much more. I think you get the idea.

You don’t have to be rich or go deep in debt to have your own home based network marketing business. It truly is an equalizer, giving everyone a fair chance at succeeding, no matter what the financial background or credit history is.

3. A network marketing business is simpler to run.

If you had your own business hopefully you could afford to hire an accountant and a secretary who would keep all your red-tape, paperwork, receipts, bookkeeping and such. If not, you would spend much of your time doing this.

With MLM, the company you are with handles most of the paperwork. You just need to keep your own financial records for your income taxes. This frees you up to spend your time and energy making money.

4. A network marketing business is easier to market and promote.

Most people who have their own “traditional” business are on their own when it comes to marketing and advertising. They usually try a little of everything to see if something will actually work. Often desperate business owners get taken in by slick sales people who promise results with their newest expensive advertising scheme.

A network marketing company has a proven marketing system that has been tested and used by many people. They will usually have their own marketing material that can be purchased at a lower cost because they can order in larger quantities.

5. You get the business training you need to succeed network marketing.

You don’t need to know anything about business to be successful in MLM. Your company has done all the work and research. They often hire the best marketers in the business to help them develop a training program because really want you to succeed and will do everything in their power to help you.

In traditional business you have to find the training you need on your own.

6. With a home based network marketing business, taxes are on your side.

There are many deductions you can take with a home based network marketing business that will help you reduce your taxes.

On the other hand, the government (federal, state, and local) all seem to have it in for traditional small businesses. And if you have employees, you are really paying much more for them than their salary, as any employer can tell you.

7. Network marketing is the future.

Some people say that network marketing or MLM is a pyramid scheme. That is not true. A pyramid scheme is illegal because it doesn’t work. There is no product, and thus no value to it. The people at the bottom put money in but the value doesn’t flow down to them. It is a scam because only the people who got in at the top make any money. Most of the people get ripped off. A good example of this is chain letters or the airplane game.

A pyramid the natural shape of structure for all businesses, including governments. A network marketing organization is no exception. Network marketing is just a new way to distribute and market goods and services. It is the way of the future. Even many huge traditional companies see this and are jumping on board.

8. Build Your Fortune, Not Someone Else’s

Here is the big question: At your current place of work, who is making a living and who is getting rich? It is whoever owns the asset. The asset is the business. This is where the control and wealth is. By working as an “Employee,” you are spending your 8 hour day building someone else’s asset. You are earning a living, and the owner is building a fortune. You are not only making 10x less money, but also paying twice as much in tax.

9 . True Financial Freedom

One of the top reasons for owning your own business is that it leads to financial freedom. Meaning, being able to earn lots of money without you needing to be there. The problem with a job is that you are “Selling time for money”. This means that you can never stop working because your income also stops. With a business, you have hundreds of customers that are generating the income. This means you can go on holiday for a month and be making more money when you come back than when you left.
